QuickBooks Point of Sale Payments will no longer work with QuickBooks Point of Sale software after Oct. 3, 2023.


What are my options?


There are several Point of Sale solutions available in the marketplace. To help with the transition, Diversified Payments offers multiple options that integrate with QuickBooks Desktop and Quickbooks Online Financial Software. Diversified Payments is an A+ rated wholesale payment processor that offers low fee and no fee payment processing options. You are welcome to explore other Point of Sale solutions to determine what works best for your business.


What if I want to keep using QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale software?


You can still use QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale software, but the product will no longer be supported by Intuit. This means you will no longer receive security patch updates and Payments and Connected Services will be discontinued. Diversified Payments will offer countertop payment devices that sync payments into your Quickbooks application in real time.


What if I need additional seats or more hardware?


Existing QuickBooks Point of Sale 19.0 customers can purchase additional users on existing licenses and hardware for QuickBooks Point of Sale until Oct. 3, 2023.


What if I recently purchased an annual support plan?


The annual support plan will be prorated for the time it has been used. Any unused portion will be refunded. Please contact Intuit support to learn more.


When will QuickBooks Point of Sale Payments no longer work with QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale 19.0?


QuickBooks Point of Sale Payments will no longer work with QuickBooks Point of Sale software after Oct. 3, 2023.


Will my QuickBooks Point of Sale PIN Pad still work?


Your PIN Pad is configured for QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale only and will not work with other Point of Sale systems. Diversified Payments can provide stand alone payment devices that will sync and reconcile in real time with your Quickbooks application.


Will QuickBooks Gift Card Service continue to work with QuickBooks Point of Sale?


QuickBooks Gift Card Service is being discontinued on Oct. 3, 2023. No new gift cards will be available for purchase. Any gift card used after Oct. 3, 2023, would need to be manually redeemed in QuickBooks Point of Sale, using the Reports feature to confirm the balance on the gift card. Gift and Loyalty cards are available through Diversified Payments.


Will Intuit Store Exchange still work with my QuickBooks Desktop Software?


The Intuit Store Exchange method will no longer be available after Oct. 3, 2023. You may be able to use any of the four alternative Store Exchange methods to exchange data between your stores.


Will Webgility for e-commerce integration still work with QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale?


No. The Webgility application for e-commerce integration will no longer work with QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale after Oct. 3, 2023.

What are the benefits of migrating to Retail Cloud POS?


Retail Cloud Point of Sale, through Diversified Payments, integrates with QuickBooks Desktop Financial software and includes multi-channel selling, remote access, enhanced reporting, a modern user interface, popular payment methods, and exclusive offers.


Is there a special offer for QuickBooks Point of Sale customers who migrate to Diversified Payments?


Yes. Diversified Payments is offering exclusive discounts and zero fee payment processing to QuickBooks Point of Sale customers who make the transition.


What QuickBooks Point of Sale data will I be able to migrate to Diversified Payments and Retail Cloud?


You will be able to migrate your Customer, Vendor and Product lists. Transactional and non-transactional data is not available to export to Diversified Payments and Retail Cloud. If you decide to change your point-of-sale software, you will need to determine the best timing for your business to stop using QuickBooks Point of Sale and start using your new point of sale software.


Will there be support to help me transition to Diversified Payments and Retail Cloud POS?
